View Full Version : threw Out My Alignment!!!!!
last night i went the krogers wih some friens of mine .. cut a long story short we ge back in the car & by mistake i run over one curb things ... i did it with 4 of my friends in the car . so you can amagine the embarasment after that i
let the wheel go & it hooks the the right really hard i knot i fucked my alignment does the warranty cover this btw its a lease if not how much will it cost & do i have to get it done at the stealership ?
Thanks in advance
It won't be covered by warranty and it will be very expensive. They usually do a 4-wheel alignment that will cost, at least, a couple hundred dollars. If you need a new wheel because of damage, be prepared to shell out an additional $350 if you have the 18" runflats. I have found that you have to be VERY CAREFUL when you are driving close to curbs with these high-profile wheels and tires. Don't ask me how I found out.
E92!Dreier 03-27-2007, 08:55 AM I bet you bent a control arm too
i was only going 3 to 5 mph at the time. theres nothing wrong with the wheels or tires or anything

White94RX 03-28-2007, 08:30 AM yes, you need to get the alignment. not to mention they need to check for bent control arms or a tie rod end.

Get it done. If not, you will chew those expensive front RFT's up in a much shorter time. :shifty

Dude, what is your life worth? How would you feel if you are speeding down the highway, pulling some good G's on the twisties and your control arm lets go because it was damaged. The car flips over a few times and you are now a quadrapalegic because you wanted to save $149.99? Worse, what if your car veered into oncoming traffic because a control arm was damaged and finally breaks and you kill your girlfriend or your mother who was in the car with you. You probably spend this much on a weekend night on food and booze. Get the car properly checked out and fixed.
In response to your comment about nailing a tire to make a warranty claim because the alignment chewed up the tires. That is simply asking for some bad karma to come your way.

and in responce to your responce about the tires i meant when my tires get worn out (no more Tread) i would do that its no big deal, it has nothing to do with the alignment & btw my friends are still knocking on me cause of what happend, its just one of those things that happen & your friends wont let you forget lol well i guess im gonna get ready to stay in the BMW Showroom for 2+ hours because theyre gonna make up some bullshit excuse why they cant give me a loaner car, oh well at least ill have something preety to look at.

That is a fraudulent act and subjects you to criminal prosecution. I'm not sure I would be bragging about it on this forum.

Not to mention it causes the rates to go up for everyone else because it costs the manufacturer more money in paying fraudulent claims....
Karma baby, karma
Stylin 03-29-2007, 06:23 PM i hit a huge pothole on the highway in the rain at night in my 330i sport. My total bill from the dealer was $3800. :( I had to replace 1 front and 1 rear rim.. Rims alone were $1150. A front tire was $330 or so. I had to replace my entire front drivers side suspension. :mad

Srt8, you continually show bad judgement. Hitting a curb, not wanting to fix it, having 5 people in a car that only has seat belts for 4, and wanting to defraud an insurance company. I am curious. How did you ever come to own a BMW 335 with your limited command of the english language and lack of a moral compass?

Do You People Know How To Read ? Let Me Expalin To you How It Happend
I Went To A Grocery Store When I Got Back Into The Car I Looked Around & i Saw No Stoppers , There Was Just One Where I Was Parked. (don't know why) If You Read My Eairler Post I Already Said I Have An Appointment With The Dealer To Fix WHATEVER Is nessecary, If You Have A E90 You Would Know There Is Seating For 5, There Were A Total Of 5 People In The Car, 5
Seatbelts, Listen When I Got My Car They Put Me In A Room And Just About,
Locked Me In Trying To Brainwash Me Into Getting The Tire Waranty. Don't Try To Lie & Say They Diddn't Almost Force You To Buy The Damn Warranty
You See This Is Why I Never Post Anything On This Forum, All I Did Was Ask
For Your Opinion On The Alignment Because Like I Said Befor I Just Rolled Over It At 3 MPH <<<< , In Responce To Your Comment About My "Limited Comand Of The English Language" I Dont Spend My Whole Life On The Internet So I Dont Type That Well, I Type Fast But I Dont Type Very Well I Know That , But You Know I Diddn't Ask Your Opinion On That ,
Again With The Tire Issue, I've Never Done It Befor, When I DID Get A Nail In My Tire I Was Asking The SA "If my tires got worn out can i just put a nail in them and you'll give a new one" He Replied "Just Dont Tell Anyone" He Diddn't
See A Problem With It Whatsoever. So Why Should You & Its Not Being 'Cheap' Its Just payback, lol for them justabout making get the warranty whether i wanted it or not.
