Hi everybody:

I'm new when it comes to posting, but I've been visiting this site for a while now!

My car is due for a major service (service #2) soon, and I'm just wondering what people's opinions (especially in Edmonton) on Bavaria BMW, Edmonton BMW, Karmac, Eurasia are?

Any input, recommendation, and warning are truely appreciated, or if you have other places in mind too, please let me know as well.

Thanks!

There's another post that'll answer all your questions, either on this page,or over on the next one.

Thanks for the heads up!

Had a quick read at the other thread; so far I got these impressions:

Stay away from Karmac

Try Alberta Motorworks

Bavaria bmw and Edmonton bmw gives 10% discounts on services if you are a bmw club member.

Did I miss anything?

Eurasia is a good place to bring your veh as well, cheaper labour rates, and very good techs as well.

Eurasia is excellent for a non-warranty work.

With Edmonton BMW watch for "10% discount", I got stiffed there.

Watch out for Edmonton BMW period,I heard a rumour that they brought in vehs from hurricane Katrina.I don't think they knew they were getting those vehs, but with Bavaria they try to get local vehs from the province,or BC.I haven't seen any eastern vehs on the lot at Bavaria.I've gotten the 10% discount at Bavaria everytime I've brought my vehs there.

So you just say you're part of a BMW club and you get 10% off???

Nope,I've never said anything and I've gotten 10,and the last time I brought my X5 in for an oil change, they gave me 15% off.And for the record,I'm not a member of the BMW club...lol.

It was a pretty bizarre story...

I left my car at Edmonton BMW for a checkup and brake liquid change... when I came later in the day to pay and said that I am a member of the club (and I am), the girl went to talk to somebody and said that discount is already in the bill. I looked at the bill and did not see any discount. I asked to talk to the writer, the guy showed up, and told me that they took "few dollars off" and that they cannot take anything off the brake liquid. I am a business person and can see when I am being taken... I knew that he either did not want to redo his bill or did not want to give me $20 off. I paid and next day called the manager and asked to look at the bill on the computer. He said that nothing was taken off, did not admit any wrongdoing when I described the story, and promised to take care of this. Nothing ever happened. I do not want chase somebody for $20 but I hate to be treated like an idiot. So, I took my business elsewhere.

When I bought a bimmer, I expected a better service from the dealership... I reality they are all the same - too busy, too many clients, too many puny concerns of drivers who distract them from important business (whatever it is).

When you're buying a BMW,you are the dealers long lost friend. But after you buy and need warranty work done, you're treated like a red headed step child...lol.No offense to any red headed step children that may be on this site...lol.Just wait till you have to deal with the western BMW rep !!!!!Thats a whole other story.
