View Full Version : What are people paying for 335i Lease?
MBLocal017 03-26-2007, 04:55 PM I'm looking to lease a 335i, 36 months/10,000 miles per year. Car would be fully loaded with a sticker of around 50k. Off the top of her head the saleswoman offered me between $700-800/month with $2500 down. I know I would end up paying less than that but I wanted to know what people are paying (particularly in CA). I have a friend who can get me $200-250 off the "usual" (don't have hard numbers yet) payment every month or 20-25% off MSRP on purchase, but I would have to wait until summer to take delivery of the car. Just wanted to know what other people are paying so I know if it's worth waiting for my friend to get the car for me, or try to negotiate with the dealer.

henrysko 03-26-2007, 05:13 PM $10-$12.5K off MSRP is substantially less than invoice. If true, it's a no brainer. Just wait for your buddy to save you the money.
Good Luck.

True for a bare bones, no options nekid 335 Coupe. Who orders this car on a budget and why would ya? Even just factoring in taxes your going to be in the $520-550 range depending. So With a few options and yeah it ends up just under $50k? I'd say right around $600 -650 is about where you'd want to be. Given a point for the Dealer...
xxballaboveallx 03-26-2007, 06:16 PM Coupe or Sedan?
SocratesBMW 03-26-2007, 06:17 PM If your buddy can get you 25% of the MSRP, you'd be fooloish not to take the offer. Then turn around and sell it becaus ethe car takes about 3-4 months to arrive after ordering and ppl are on waiting lists for it. The turn around and get him to give you another %25 off deal and buy the car for half price. I'd like to know how you could possibly be getting this deal when there are waiting lists for the car at or above MSRP.

CookieMonster 03-26-2007, 07:59 PM I figured out 11 lease deals. These all use .61% residual and money factor of .00160 these leases are for the 335i sedan. With $0 money down. Does not include 1st month/security/bank fee, tags or Tax.
all are 36 month lease with 15k a year.
The selling price would be MSRP no discounts!
MSRP Monthly lease payment
$50,000 = 670.46
$49,000 = 656.22
$48,000 = 643.64
$47,000 = 630.07
$46,000 = 616.82
$45,000 = 602.00
$44,000 = 590.00
$43,000 = 576.00
$42,000 = 563.00
$41,000 = 549.61
$40,000 = 536.37
Again all with $0 down just 1st, security, bank fee, tags and tax due at signing. In New Jersey you are taxed on the payment so add 7% to each.
Good luck! Pay more than what is posted and you gave the dealer to much! Especially if you only have 10k or 12k a year. Remember these prices would be if you paid MSRP!

skarden 10-29-2007, 09:10 PM I live in South Florida and everyone is talking MSRP for a 335. Can anyone give me names/phone #'s for dealers that will deal? It sounds like it would more than pay for me to travel (if I have to - dealers often will do a courtesy delivery)
Thanks,

$700-800 a month on a car you won't even own?? I'm sorry I just don't see it. Why not put some money down on lower priced model with a conventional finance? At least after 48-60 months you own the car.

There we go again, another lease bashing thread. Let the games begin.... *sigh*

I'll take the bait, it is one of my favorite arguments! :buttrock

You have to pay more cash to own the car. I pay less, turn in car at end of lease. You pay more and own the car. For every dollar of "equity" in the car you have paid a dollar out of your pocket (plus the depreciation you have paid for). It is cash flow! (I am talking lease versus buy on the same car, who wants to downgrade?)
dimes 10-30-2007, 09:56 PM I ordered an 08 335i convertible and got 2% off in Jersey. Think it's a fair deal but wonder if i could've squeezed another point.
asupilot 10-30-2007, 11:01 PM I'm up here in the Seattle area...downtown Tacoma to be exact. I want a 335i sedan. I'm slightly flexible in my colors but I'm not on options, so when my dealer tried to find my car he came up empty handed. I think he did find one out-of-state but that costs $1000 to truck it here.
My 335i will be pretty loaded...every option except active steering, active cruise control, the 6-disk changer, electric rear sunshade and manual side shades, the carbon fiber front end, and splash guards.
My MSRP sticker price came to $51,070. A quick check at edmonds.com shows that people in this area aren't getting too much off the MSRP so I will say I'll negotiate the car to probably $49,500. Since we couldn't find my car I'll have to order a 2008 model. The money factor I was quoted was 0.16 for the lease. I want this lease for 36 months/15,000 miles per year and zero down. Actually, I think BMW Financial will make me put down around $1100 to drive off...I was told they don't do "0" down.
Bottom line, my payment came to around $850/mo give or take a few dollars. I don't know how these guys are getting numbers around $650 or $700/mo without putting a lot of cash down. Although $850/mo is no small chunk of change, I LOVE to drive and feel it's worth it. Remember, these are $50k cars we're talking about...we need to understand that to drive somehting like that it costs money. If $500/mo is someone's limit, then I suggest a Honda.
Throw in free maintainance and the BMW is actually a deal! I have a 2005 loaded G35 coupe. I leased it for 39 months/20,000 miles per year with zero down. My payment is $728.34/mo and since I follow the Premium Maintainance Schedule in the owner's manual, I've been averaging $148/mo in maintainance costs. Example: I just had my 30,000 mile service...$895 + tax, so it was a $975 day.
Maybe my rationale is off, but I pay about $876/mo to drive the G35, and since I can drive a loaded 335i sedan (a car that's a full $10k more than my G35) why wouldn't I? That new 335i engine is incredible! My G35 has a sick staggard wheel setup, is lowered an inch, is clean and looks fast. My friends, the 335i sedan has 4 doors (which I want), handles better, is FASTER and is just plain flat-out more fun to drive!
But you guys already knew that...
Shit hot for you guys obtaining GREAT lease deals on your 3's. Since I live in the Seattle area where demand is high, and since I have to order my 335i, I won't get much love when trying to get the dealer to back off the price a little. I'll get 1.5% to 2% if I'm lucky.
Long post I know, but if someone sees somehting flawed with my numbers or rationale please let me know. Thanks!
grizwald1 10-30-2007, 11:49 PM Can someone tell me the dealership that you used to receive these prices on your leases. Im looking to lease a 2008 335i coupe with a MSRP of $52000.
