Seriously contemplating the E90 Sport package as a CPO, to compliment my E46 Sport.

Before I make a decision, I felt it was a good idea to ask the owners how they felt about their cars, and what troubles they have had.

Do you still recommend buying the car ?

I LOVE mine. No problems what so ever and I drive her very "spiritedly"

Coming from an E36 M3/4, I am really impressed with the ride isolation on the E90 spt pkg. The handling so far seems very good comparatively, although I have not been on a track yet.

The seats are incredible, I can't speak highly enough about them. Very supportive yet enough cushioning to be comfortable as well. Much better than the somewhat hard feeling seats in my M3. They are more comfortable than the standard seats in my wifes X5 as well.

Thank you for the input,

Surprised I haven't heard from more E90 owners.

A little disappointed they discontinued the 325i and 330i

I am not at all impressed with the 1 series.

Hope BMW comes to there senses.

:redspot I still giggle every time I go up the on ramp of the freeway and feel the the power of the 335i. I have had no problems with mine. My friend was going to buy an Evo and I told him to try the 335i. Long story short his 335i will be born sometime in April.:D

Trying to make a sound decision on a CPO

I like the looks of the 330ci

But this overheating issue has me concerned.

Still hoping to hear from members who have the 325i or 330i sport.

I'm just passing one year of ownership now of my 06 330i. I love the car -- a lot of fun to drive and still very practical. I had a few very minor electronics glitches in the first few months, but that was with BMW Assist -- nothing really essential. Mechanically have not had any issues at all.

I have the sport pkg and the car rides a bit low -- I bottomed out a few times until I realized I had to be careful in this area.

The ride is firm but reasonable. I've taken it on a couple of long trips, including from Chicago to Toronto and it is a great highway car.

I've taken it to the track once (plan to do more this year) and several autocrosses. Overall its feel is that of a highly refined muscle car. It has very good handling and power but does not feel "light on its feet" as some of the older 3's do or the MINI.

Today I parked next to an E28 and my car is basically the same size.

My car is awesome. Have had zero problems. It puts a smile on my face every time I drive it.

Nice car !!!

Great color.

Thanks for the review.

Think it will be tough to pass the E90 up.

I will have to convince the wife to go back to the dealer to look at another one.

She wouldn't even sit in the 328i

to my disappointment

Went to the dealer again today.

There will be some great deals coming up in the next 2-3 years, when the cars come off lease.

I will be ready

I have had mine for about a year and ahalf. The only issue I had was with a seatbelt sensor. I have about 25k miles on it.

The overheating problem (if there is one!?) is with the 335. Specifically pre 2007 production sedans with automatic transmission. These cars (U.S. only) did not come with an oil cooler.

I finally had the dealer perform today what I've been wanting to do for months - the oil change, as my service light came on at 19,000 mi. (Changing the oil this infrequently still goes against every fiber of my body. I used to change my oil every 3,000 mi max in the '90s.) I did feel like a king at the dealership, though - it's nice having the maintenance for free.

The only bug I've had so far - the passenger side cupholder wouldn't come out. I thought maybe something sticky had gummed up the works, but the dealer replaced the whole assembly, and yes, it was gratis.

My advice, sd203: Get one. You won't be disappointed. :)

Hi, I've got a 330i M Sport on UK spec. (July 06). Done 9K & apart from the sat nav going wrong I've had no mechanical problems. Local dealer fixed sat. nav. with help from BMW technical services. Engine is starting to loosen up nicely & it's becoming faster & even more responsive. 98 octane unleaded makes a noticeable difference in performance, but it's bloody expensive over here. Grip is excellent from mixed 18" tyres & the handling is superb on our twisty country roads. I'd recommend buying one.

my 06' 330i sport has the engine ticking problem. Its at the dealer right now being looked at for that. Coming to think of it i havent heard from the dealer since i dropped it off 2 days ago. Other than that i have had no problems with the car at all.

BMWs are so much fun to drive.
