One with no cats in FL. Can cops check during a pull or would they have any reason to look?


most cops really dont give a crap, but you might get pullled over for it. Theyll just write u up a ticket. Thats all, i used to have no cats on my old car.

Most don't care but they can write you a ticket for it being too loud.

I pulled two of the three cats out of my WRX and had no trouble. As long as it is not too loud no one will likely find out. I am thinking of doing that with my car too.

I ran a race exhaust on my E36 M3 for over a year... no problems.

That being said... There is a guy with a F40 with a race exhaust (no cats or mufflers) and he said he gets pulled over occasionally for noise violation, but he doesn't give a damn.

Have had a test pipe, complete with ocassional fireballs on upshifts and downshifts, for like 5 or 6 years now. No issues.

i run a track pipe and not a sinlge cop has ever said anything to me. not cops in Tallahassee, Orlando, Kissimee, Gainesville, West Palm, Boca, Miami, Marion county, and Ft. Lauderdale. ive been pulled over in all those cities w/my track pipe and not a single problem. ive even had my car imponded in Weston and nothing was said to me about my track pipe.

I wouldn't worry about it, I don't even get second glances from cops with my UUC SystemU and its damn loud.

i live in miami, there is no problem at all i been stop by cops and they dont even ask. and i even have no cats

got pulled on I-10 by FHP in my lowrider tacoma about 2yrs ago. no cat (hollowed out) he actually got his mirror and looked under the truck for a muffler. Didn't say anything about the cat........thats in tally
