Can anyone recommend a good e38 mechanic in Olympia, WA? The nearest dealer is 45 mins away. Thanks!

Don't have a recommendation for Olympia, sorry. I would if you were in the Tacoma area.

I'll take a rec for Tacoma, it's a lot closer than Seattle, thanks!

I know a few guys up in Seattle, but that's pretty far for an oil service from Oly

Thanks for the rec! Any others a bit further south? What about just for an oil change? What about the chains, are any of them good for an e38?

Chains? Never heard good stories. Only I change the oil on the E38 now that the warranty is expired.

Here is a post from some south-ender's, but it's about 18 mo old... maybe you can ask on the Puget Sound BMWCCA board for more updated info.

have you considered doing the oil change yourself? Pretty easy, check the write-ups here: www.e38.org
if you still want to have it done, check here for listings: http://www.bimmerboard.com/forums/posts/17653

Unfortunately, I'm not too good with my hands, so DIY is not an option for this klutz!

Thanks again.
