are there any problems with adding so much more power to the 335? why didnt bmw make this car with more hp if this was so easy to acheive by just changing the maps of the car? For some reason i am very unsure about this. need some info on this.. thanks!

Just a hunch...
-Reduced Fuel Milage
-Decreased engine life, just no way around it taking a few years off the life of the motor.
-Increased tickets
-Increased drive train/tire wear
-Permanent grin may draw looks

Actually most aftermarket chips claim to give you slightly BETTER fuel mileage.
I read an interview with the powertrain engineer who designed the car, he said that it would be very easy for BMW to get more power from the 335i's engine but if they add any more boost, you start to feel turbo lag and they wanted it to feel like a naturally aspirated V8 rather than a turbocharged engine. He also went on to say that BMW realizes its easy for tuners to extract more power from the engine but that was only a small concern of theirs. (this was from I think Eurotuner's website, I read it earlier today actually)

Isn't better fuel mileage while just tooling around? Similar to EPA estimates, shifting at 3k and keeping your foot out of it. But what's the likely hood of that happening? With increased boost increased fuel consumption must be part of the package or engine goes BOOM. :evil2 Yes?
I also thought turbo Lag is related more to the size of the turbos, not the boost they are producing. if we increased the size of the turbos to get more boost then yeah, but simply adding a couple pounds to what the already tiny little turbos deliver shouldn't create an increase in felt lag should it?

Increasing boost with either the Turbo Tuner or PROcede will not as much give more lag as it will increase power so that you feel the turbos more when they really kick in and plant you back in your seat around 2500 RPM. So whether you want to call it lag or not you definitely feel the turbos more with either of these mods which is actually a very good thing:redspot
