<HR style="COLOR: #666666" SIZE=1><!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->I plan on gettin some rims and tires for my 95 318is. I have decided on the attached rim 17x8/42mm offset. WHat size tires should I go with with out rubbing or rolling the fenders. 235/40/17's or 225/45/17's? Also the vehicle is stock height.

I don't think you can put the 225/45 tires on that wide a rim

17.5, maybe.... but I am not sure about the 17x8

You can put the 235 /4017x8 on your car ?

go to the TIRE RACK and check it out.

They will know how to help you.

Ask for Damon at Ext. 643

No offense, but the Wheels look a little too Star Trek like.

But if that's what you want.

As for tires, the Conti Extreme Contact is an excellent tire for the money. $97.00 a tire. If you have the money, go for the All season Bridgestones, but they will cost you .

Good luck.

Be careful about the size you choose. It may look good, but the car may handle like crap.

225/45-17 on 8 x 17 is absolutely fine. No trouble at all.
