I recently sold my e34 525i thinking i was going to buy my uncle's clk for a good price...then realized i could get other, newer, and better cars for not much more. Long story short, I found a 2004 525i at a local dealership yesterday, sports package and premium package, 6 speed...for 30k. My question is, how gutless is the car. I haven't test driven it yet, but if its as gutless as the e34 525i, ill pass. All opinions and advice are much appreciated. The guy at the dealer said the manual 525 is fairly rare but not in demand much...how low could i talk them down to?

225 HP. Is that enough power for you? Actually, I think it's less than that. The 2004 530s had 225 HP. The correct number is 184 HP.
