Brand new here,
Just purchased a 1992 318I, when the ignition is powered up the display on the radio says "code". The person I bought the car from gave me a card with what is supposed to be the code for it. It is a small BMW business card with a code of 22422. As I attempt to punch in the code I hear a beep after the fourth entry and no activation. Any suggestions. Thx....ML

The stereo needs to reset, Leave the stereo on with the ignition switch in the on position for at least an hour, then try the code again.
