sk8rat6587 03-17-2007, 07:45 PM Can't wait, from the first qualifying it looks as though it will be a close championship race, but it is only the first qualifications and only time will tell.
Bsaint 03-17-2007, 07:48 PM Lets just hope for not a repeat of last year with Ferrari :(

I dunno, I like Ferrari and all, but it just isn't the same without Schumi.
74tii 03-17-2007, 08:09 PM Ya I'm really looking forward to this season. This will be the first season without Schumi for me. I started watching the first year he drove .. its kind of strange without him (even though he was kind of a bastard he sure could drive. I remember that race in the wet and he was on slicks in the Benneton .. holy crap he was good)
SO I'm all for Takuma Sato -- I used to be a fan of Yukio 'the mobile chicane' Katayama .. but sheesh! Sato is in the top ten in qualifying and the Super Aguri are looking pretty strong!!
How far has Williams fallen? wow
Also always liked Couthard even though he pretty much sucks. When I lived in Scotland thats all they could talk about -- the home boy. He always has some excuse why he can't keep the car on the road or whatever...
also like to see Kubica in the BMW kick some ass..
AndrewBall 03-17-2007, 08:21 PM I like Hamilton, I hope he beats alonso and Kimi beats alonso i want Alonso to be the whiny bitch that he is.
I like Kimi but there is something strange about a Finn at Ferrari. But I really like Hamilton, coming out in his first race ever and giving experienced drivers a run for their money. It seems very exciting. I hope McLaren pulls though for that kid.
2002mpower 03-17-2007, 08:23 PM well said andrew who does hamilton remind you of?.. and you know him
Bsaint 03-17-2007, 09:20 PM well said andrew who does hamilton remind you of?.. and you know him

slocar 03-17-2007, 09:56 PM I'm ready ... been ready for a while.
Bsaint 03-17-2007, 10:10 PM WOW what a finish!! GO ferrari
SR20Fastback 03-17-2007, 10:22 PM oooh sebring is done, time for some F1 in a few. I was impressed with Heidfeld's last minute 3rd place grab at the end of Q3 last night... but Kubica really impressed me with his overall driving.
Anyone catch them ripping on Honda about saving all kinds of gas for the world by not making it into Q3? :stickoutt
74tii 03-17-2007, 10:27 PM I wish we could clone Murry Walker .. I miss that old coot commentating
slocar 03-18-2007, 12:38 AM Great start to the season.
Pretty much expected Raikkonen to win ... wanted Massa to come through and pass Fisichella; still not bad considering a 16th place start.
And Wurz/Coulthard crash was some crazy shit.
Andy S. 03-18-2007, 12:50 AM Anyone catch them ripping on Honda about saving all kinds of gas for the world by not making it into Q3? :stickoutt
When Button sped in the pits :rofl Hobbs said that was the only way they could find speed.
:lol

I think Massa started 22nd due to a last minute engine change. Definitely a good run considering.
And a big FUCK YEA to Kimi.
Kimi + Ferrari ftw :buttrock
jsedlak 03-18-2007, 03:02 AM He did have a moment of... well let's just say i almost pissed myself as i screamed out "NO! DON'T LET ALONSO CATCH UP!"
Bsaint 03-18-2007, 04:09 AM yaaaay for being trashed as fuck!!! lolm
bonoz 03-18-2007, 04:29 AM This season Ferrari looks very very good. On the straights it was almost inevitable to not let them overtake.
He did have a moment of... well let's just say i almost pissed myself as i screamed out "NO! DON'T LET ALONSO CATCH UP!"
Ah come on, it was nothing... just a bit of rough patch that he went on... no worries :P
SicNA94teggsr 03-18-2007, 05:00 AM Watched it, id rather watch British Touring cars or AussieV8's, still a decent race though. You all watch the 12 hr race??? Damn Lexus pulling funding:mad
ken_vs_ryu 03-18-2007, 05:03 AM YAY! What a great race! Coultard took a mighty leap there...!

Everyone said Alonso made a mistake when he left Renault for McLaren. He puts those comments to rest yesterday.
Renaultwned.

pixelsculptor 03-18-2007, 04:17 PM That was an excellent race. I think this will be a stellar year. Lot and lots of changes, some fabulous new talent, and a great line-up.
I am keeping my eyes on Kubica and hamilton. At the end of last season, Kubica was really nailing it.
lets see what unfolds. I really want to go to a race sometime, but its so freaking expensive! Hopefully this job i have coming up will be a huge payday. (commercial shoot, print ad for womens shoes, my client is competing with prada) potentially a 15-30k job for me. after a few of these jobs, monaco 2008 here i come. Might as well go to the coolest F1 location.
Malaysia and hungary are also on my list.
three weeks till next race.
jsedlak 03-18-2007, 04:30 PM No joke.

By the looks of that race Renault fell off the face of the earth.
It's a shame. They have a decent package. Seems like Fisichella and Kovalainen is not what they need as a driver duo, tho...
saab guy 03-18-2007, 04:41 PM This is all on Speed Channel, right? The ONE channel I don't get here at school.
Looks like NASCAR it is. FML :(

IMO, Fisichella is a-ok ... could be better, but wasn't horrible. Kovalainen on the other hand ... all over the damn place.

When I watched it with my dad, we had it on SPEED and TSN, i'm assuming the States gets TSN?
On another note, I like how McLaren did Alonso's 2nd pit stop quickly so that he could get out ahead of Hamilton. I'm assuming they did that incase Hamilton got into 1st place and Kimi was behind him, he wouldn't "feel the pressure" from Kimi. I dunno, just my $0.02 on that subject.

He didn't need much fuel at that point anyways. I think you read too much into how quick his pitstop went.
