I bought my automatic 1987 535is a almost a year ago for 2.7k, and this is whats wrong:
dent in hood
rust by each front jack placement
faded trunk lip
ODO stopped working at 208k(month ago)
Shrunken seat cushion(weird, il post pics later)
cracks in dash
driveshaft shudder-yuck, got worse today. a clunkin
front lip hangs down 1/2 inch, scraped up

Whats right:
2 almost new rear tires, 1/2 life on the front
above average paint
top end rebuilt at 150k (no receipts-for anything) motor runs very strong
all electrical works
bilstein shocks, struts
bavAuto sport springs

Should i just try to sell the thing? I was planning on waiting til August, but i just dont know yet. When i put it up for sale, I'l take pictures of and write up everything I know about the car, rust spots, tendencies(like the tach randomly going out), all of that stuff. I know that the ODO is an easy fix, but the driveshaft is a 700 dollar job AFAIK. thanks in advance.
