i need some vert help from you guys..my linkage rod that connects the main top drive motor to the top snapped where its threaded does anyone have an extra to sell or know were i could find one.

yeah searched every junk yard around cant find one and dont feal like spending a couple hundred for it at the dealer.

It isn't a very hi-tech piece of machining. Take off both pieces and have it welded back together. Grind it smooth enough to work and don't worry about it. It'll be stronger than any of ours when you are through. :)

i think its made out of aluminum...i thought aluminum is dificult to weld

Really? It didn't look like it as far as I can remember, but I do know that BMW makes an effort to keep weight down, so I suppose that it could be an aluminum alloy. Regardless, it can still be welded, you just have to take it to a welding shop that can do it. It isn't really any more difficult, but the gases used for aluminum (Argon/Helium) are different than for steel/iron (Carbon Dioxide/Oxygen). Bottom line is it won't cost you anything to ask them if they can weld it, and pretty much any welder capable of welding aluminum will know what kind of metal he's looking at.

sweat ther's a welding shop next to my work ill go on monday..now i just hope i can find the other piece lol..

was like that when i bought the car and thought the motors were bad so the kid dropped a 1000 off the price but turns out its only this rod

HEs lying, I saw a fat chick sitting in his back seat like miss america and he tried putting to top back up but snaped the rod instead, so he just stepped on the gas and she rolled off, WAY TO GO richy!!!
