HD is good for movies/special effects and all that digital edited stuff sk8rat6587 03-17-2007, 02:05 AM :dunno why do you need Formula 1 on HD? HD is good for movies/special effects and all that digital edited stuff Yeah movies/special effects is all HD is good for:rolleyes They just always release the new HD technology on a little sporting event called the super bowl. I think sports benefit more from HD than anything else. The F1 cars would look amazing in HD. Does speed even have HD? ken_vs_ryu 03-17-2007, 08:55 AM :dunno why do you need Formula 1 on HD? HD is good for movies/special effects and all that digital edited stuff f1 is the ultimate in racing technology, why can't the coverage be the same. i wish it looked like f1 for my ps3. i think nascar has hd coverage. :( stenney 03-17-2007, 10:45 AM f1 is the ultimate in racing technology, why can't the coverage be the same. i wish it looked like f1 for my ps3. i think nascar has hd coverage. :( NASCAR in HD is worth watching (for a while anyway) for the HD itself. It's amazing. All sporting events take on a new look in HD. Speed broadcasts in full 480p, but the color has more depth in HD. Alpine torque, if you saw F1 in HD you wouldn't doubt it. Bring on HD for F1! B.Watts 03-17-2007, 11:43 AM :dunno why do you need Formula 1 on HD? HD is good for movies/special effects and all that digital edited stuff Obviously you don't watch a lot of HD. Heck, even Monday night sit-coms are MUCH better in HD. fastfly 03-17-2007, 12:39 PM I heard the FIA crew picked up HD equipment late last year. I wonder if the F1 races that are on CBS will be in HD. Dino Antonov 03-17-2007, 12:46 PM thats bernie for ya stenney 03-17-2007, 01:09 PM Was Bernievision in HD from a few years ago? braindamage 03-17-2007, 01:18 PM If you can get TSNHD (The Sport Network in Canada), get it! The qualifying last night was in HD!!! I was very surprised. The feed was not as good as their NASCAR race but it wasn't that bad. M3Alpine99 03-18-2007, 12:40 PM It makes a difference. I watch as much as I can in HD :) Thewiseguy 03-18-2007, 12:58 PM I heard the FIA crew picked up HD equipment late last year. I wonder if the F1 races that are on CBS will be in HD. I have heard that will be the case. Rumor is that CBSs main reason for brodcasting F1 is the for HD. murdoc158 03-18-2007, 02:58 PM There are rumors floating around on avsforums and others that by the end of the year SpeedHD will be launched. DirecTv has said they will pick it up when it launches. I have no idea if the main F1 broadcast is even in HD, but I would hope it would be by the time SpeedHD goes live. Lance Racing 03-18-2007, 09:32 PM When Speed starts broadcasting F1 in HD, then I'll have a reason to buy an HD TV finally. :redspot bimmer213 03-18-2007, 10:28 PM Can you just imagine watching the Monaco or Malysian Grand Prix in HD, the views would be pretty spectacular ///Mpmp1025 03-18-2007, 11:57 PM F1 should have bee the first sport in HD IMHO. i bet Europe gets F1 in HD. OT: Jesse Jane just got her boobs redone, by Dr. Robert Ray from Dr. 90210, bc her movies r gonna be shot in HD. i dont remember where i read this but HD is the best thing to happen to TVs since cable. Def 03-20-2007, 12:35 AM The main reason is that european HDTV penetration is quite a bit lower than the US, which is actually not lagging behind the HDTV roll out surprisingly enough. Can't say the same thing about broadband availability and prices though... S.Lang 03-20-2007, 03:02 AM :dunno why do you need Formula 1 on HD? HD is good for movies/special effects and all that digital edited stuff pshhh....HD makes even NASCAR look good....;) jsedlak 03-20-2007, 04:25 PM Formula 1 needs more coverage, first. I miss the 10 years ago in F1 program. Deadkennedys 03-20-2007, 08:12 PM Television Coverage Formula One Management (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Formula_One_Management) will become the sole host broadcaster (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Formula_One_broadcasters) for all 17 Grands Prix for the first time in 2007. Coverage will be produced in anamorphic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anamorphic) 16:9 widescreen and a High Definition (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDTV) feed will also be made available to broadcasters, although it's unclear as yet which countries, if any in 2007, this will be broadcast to.[51] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007_Formula_One_season#_note-Exclusive:_TV_Coverage_Revolution)[52] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007_Formula_One_season#_note-F1_set_for_HD_TV_coverage)[53] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007_Formula_One_season#_note-Investment_in_MK_after_F1_TV_deal_is_secured)Wiki ftw |
