Don't know how many people will remember me, I used to have a lightly modded white '95 M3 a while back. I then moved on to a '99 Lightning, and then an '01 Lightning.
My last car was a 428rwhp LS1 swapped FD, which I had for about 2 years until I just recently sold it. Here's a pic:

It was sexy and would have done 10's with a better drag racer than myself, but I was getting tired of driving it 2hrs a day in stop-and-go LA traffic. Wanted something I didn't have to shift in traffic, that didn't scrape over every bump in the road, and that was roomy and comfortable. Those FD's are neither roomy nor comfortable. So on monday I picked up:

2002 SMG E46 M3! :redspot It has 55k miles, black leather, and I love the Steel Gray Metallic, it just glows when the sun hits it. Pics are unwaxed, can't wait to throw a couple coats on it. Still figuring out the SMG... auto mode seems best left to traffic situations as it doesn't seem to be able to guess what gear I want very accurately. I think I like the 5th shifting mode best even for daily driving, the lower modes seem a little sluggish to me. Haven't turned off the traction control to try the 6th mode yet.
Always thought the E46 M3 was so gorgeous, nice to finally have one of my own and be back in a bimmer :alright
