Tried searching but came up empty.

I am trying to order some 303 cleaner and protectant for my softtop. They have 2 different products, one for fabric and one for vinyl tops.

Anyone know which would be on a 1996 328i cabrio.

Thanks for the input.

Fabric. For what it's worth, I've tried both and have seen MUCH better protection from the RaggTop stuff vs. 303.

I do appreciate the input. I have searched and gotten mixed reviews on both products. Some saying the the Raggtopp protectant is harder to apply. Still not sure which one I should purchase.

Anyone else have an opinion of which is better?

Raggtop is harder to apply in that it comes in an aerosol can as opposed to pump bottle, so it's a bit harder to control overspray.

If it makes you feel any better, I did a "side by side" test on the M3 when I bought it two months ago... half the top in 303, half in Raggtop. Raggtop side beads MUCH better, longer and more consistently.

I plan on cleaning this weekend and recoating the whole thing with Raggtop.

beading and color shine is what im going for. So looks like I'll be going w/ the Raggtopp.

I have both but my experience is that my 303 still beads to this day after a year and I have Raggtop as well and to me it was a draw...

I just did my e30, which has a black canvas top, with SONAX cleaner, and BMW Impregnator/protector and I had fantastic results. I got shiny satin black with plenty of water beading. My e36 cabrio is next.

Fabric. For what it's worth, I've tried both and have seen MUCH better protection from the RaggTop stuff vs. 303.+1, was not impressed with 303 at all. Raggtop ftw.

What have you all used with success to clean the window and keep the plastic clean but soft & pliable?

I quickly wipe down/polish the inside and out with Plexus after every wash.

I use meguir's for the back window as well. As for the color shine, I guess that was a little off. What I meant was mine is getting a little dull and sun faded, just meant that I want to try and bring some color back.

Thanks! Is that a specialty item, or can it be found at most auto parts stores?

Added: Ok, found the website, but they only sell cases? :(

I see it occaisionally in places like Autozone, but I can always find it in any place that sells marine/boat stuff. Other than that, pretty much any of the online car care places (my favorite: www.properautocare.com ) should carry it.

it beads the best...I have the kit...The wash 4 the fabric (wash with a brush) removes debris, bird shit, etc...

Then the Raggtop on a nice summer day 2 keep water beading nicely off the top it works! Of course with a breeze u might get overspray, but it will happen 4 it is an aerosol.
