I have a question for the e34 experts. Saw a couple of posts about all e34s being pre-wired for memory seats. Is this true? I have a 94 525i without memory seats. Found a good deal on a memory switch on ebay. Would my seats gain memory with just installing the switch properly? Thanks for your help.

IIRC memory is a huge hassle. now, i'm not totally sure about this, but i seem to remember heated seats being a direct plug and play, while memory requires a lot of work.
can anybody confirm this? i'd love to have memory seats...

AFAIK, the harness that plugs to the seat is wired for every option from the factory - the seat is NOT. Putting a switch in isn't likely to do it. I can see where memory function might be different than heat though. Memory should just need a module where heat needs the heating elements.

i could care less about the heat. memory would rule though.
