Gonna be doing my first track day at Summit Point in a couple weeks. '98 M3 with new Koni SA struts and externally adjustable rear shocks, Eibach Pro-Kit springs, Eibach sway bars, Kosei K1 wheels and Bridgestone RE-01R tires. The strut hats have been swapped and RRT had the alignment done with quite a bit of camber cranked in.
For the suspension, I'm planning on starting with the adjustments in the middle of the range and go from there but I'm not sure where to start with tire pressures. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Bridgestone should have that information on their web site...at least Hoosier and kumho do. Chuck

start at 35 cold. check after each sesion. they will go up 5-8lbs during a session depending on how hard you are pushing them. since it is you first track day, target 40ish hot and just leave them there. concentrate on getting around the track and learning. pressures will be irrlelevant in the big picture of a first day on a track.....
have fun!
what event at summit you doing? scca pdx?

Thanks, that's exactly what I'm looking for. Just a starting point. I know they won't have a huge effect as I don't plan on pushing real hard.
I'll be doing FATT (Friday At The Track) on the 23rd. I've been doing motorcycle track days for about three years. Did one in my wife's 330Ci about a year ago and got the fever for a car. Sold the bikes and bought the M3.

that weekend (24-25) the scca is having it's spring competition school. you are close...stop by and watch the fun of new racers trying to figure out which way the track goes!
or, there is an scca hpde/pdx school march 31st on the summit main course. come on out and play. smaller crowds than at the fatt's.

i may be instructing at both of the scca events.
