Bentley manuals can be found on Ebay, or at Bavauto.com

Those are the supreme aftermarket manuals for Bimmers, and worth every penny.

Bentley search (http://motors.search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?sofocus=bs&sbrftog=1&catref=C6&fcl=3&frpp=50&from=R10&fccl=1&satitle=Bentley+BMW&sacat=6029%26catref%3DC6&sargn=-1%26saslc%3D2&sadis=200&fpos=ZIP%2FPostal&ftrt=1&ftrv=1&saprclo=&saprchi=&fsop=2%26fsoo%3D2&coaction=compare&copagenum=1&coentrypage=search&fgtp=)

Changing the motor mounts on the E36 is not the most fun thing to do. Since the engine sits on the motor mount you need to get quite a bit of clearance to be able to remove the old mount and insert the new one.

Basically, remove the 2 nuts from each mount, one on top and one on the bottom. You might need to get creative on the bottom nuts because of the way they are in the cross member and have the control arms in the way. Once all the bolts are free you will need to jack the engine up about 2 inches. Up to you if you want to do this one side at a time or just do both at once. The mounts should be left in the cross member, just remove the old and insert the new ones, making sure the line up the alinement pins. Lower the engine, you may need to do this slowly to make sure the studs go into the supports correctly and you dont damage the threads. Then just install all 4 nuts and washers.
