Hi all,

Since I've sold my car, I no longer have a need for my Valentine One radar detector. For those that know, this is the MOST CURRENT version out there (v1.8). The serial number is:

6968030834

I paid about $450 for this after tax and shipping, I believe.

Asking $370 OBO --> SOLD!!! ($350 picked up)

These are the pictures I just took. Not the greatest but the item is in FLAWLESS condition and barely used (about a year and 5-7k miles). If you want better/larger pictures, please do not hesitate to ask/email me: clumpymold@gmail.com (do NOT PM me).

Thanks for looking!

- Curtis

Yep. Nope, no upgrade. Want to be "smarter" with my money. ;)

Thanks for that. Posted it there. Damn, they go for really cheap over there (but SUPER fast). I'll sit on mine until I get a decent price for it. :stickoutt

Hold out for your asking price it will sell.
Heck someone just paid 200 on the board for a unit that needed $280 in upgrades.

I assume you live in CA, so why did you pay sales tax?

"I" didn't. But others may if you live near them. The point is, it's not JUST $400. You still have to pay at least shipping.

But even IF it were $400, you'd be saving money by paying $370. ;)

It's OBO by the way. And I've only had ONE reasonable offer but that's for shipped. I would REALLY prefer non-shipped.

Haha, yeah, I've noticed. The cheaper threads will sell in a matter of minutes (if not hours). But I have yet to find just ONE thread that didn't sell. I'm in no hurry.

Besides, now I'm debating on whether or not I really want to sell it. :dunno

Either way, $370 OBO. :D

your original post says you paid $450 after tax and shipping. Probably not a good idea to justify your asking price by stating more than what you paid.

BTW shipping is $6.50

Good point, but actually, a friend bought it for me. Forgot what she told me she paid for it so I put ~$450, I BELIEVE.

Thanks for that.

And for posting the shipping.

As I stated before, even IF you only paid $400 for this, this would still be a savings.

Are you interested in this item?

quoted for truth.

shipping is just the cost of doing business, totally irrelevant as you are most likely going to be charging the buyer for shipping costs.

I really don't understand why sellers think a discount of less than 10% on an item used for a year is acceptable. And I also cannot fathom why buyers still act like it's the last V1 on the face of the planet. Don't refurbished units directly from Valentine cost 350?

The thing is, this item is not a standard item. It's not a car which depreciates a ridiculous amount. These things hold their value fairly well.

I priced my unit between the prices I've seen on eBay. They've sold for as little as $330 up to about $390. So I just posted $370.

I'm not sure why people will post these comments when it appears that they're not even interested in the item. :dunno

If someone is interested, I would HOPE they would do their research BEFORE committing to purchasing this item.

The V1 is not a wear item so there is very little loss of value unless its dropped or broken. These hold their value very well. 370 is actually quite reasonable.

Thank you for that. Yes, I agree.

But, as stated above, my asking price is OBO. ;)
