Please excuse my ignorance! I am just beggininng my search for a 3 Series Convertible manual transmission.

I would like to keep the price down below 20,000 and preferably around 10,000.

So I am looking for cars in the 1996-2000 range. okay here is the question...

Do you have reccomendations on which years to stay away from in terms of reliability? What the major issues are etc...Any info I am sure will be helpful.
