LeftCoastBias 03-08-2007, 01:23 AM there WILL be server downtime sometime in the next 24-48 hours!!!
it may last between 6 to 8 hours, while our host migrates our server to another higher capacity server.

ok ok i take it back :paranoid:
neeCo 03-12-2007, 01:39 AM Hey guys, what part of the spectrum are you guys going to be meeting up at? SOrry if i missed it, but i guess i didn't see it.

we are still waiting to finalize the OC coordinator position... but if the point stays at spectrum, it will likely be behind target.
CeloC 03-12-2007, 02:56 AM hey LCB
Are you guys taking the 405 straight from Irvine to Encino?
jonjon0nline 03-12-2007, 03:22 AM Would the Irvine meeting spot be closer to Long Beach?

Ok thanks.
CeloC 03-15-2007, 02:11 AM Would the Irvine meeting spot be closer to Long Beach?
Depends what part of Long Beach you're near. I'd suggest just waiting on the 110/405 intersection and waiting for the caravan to drive by...thats what I'm planning to do.

i haven't answered your question yet, because we may move the OC point from spectrum to hunington beach.

sirius600 03-21-2007, 11:59 AM Would it be acceptable to just jump in when you all come through on the 101? It's not like anything happens at the Encino point, is there?

do whatever you want, if you feel safe/comfortable with it.
a lot of guys in your area dont actually make it over to encino... since it is backtracking. feel free to organize a mini-meet-point
neeCo 04-01-2007, 01:47 PM Looking at the TEHdriven site, is it finalize that the OC meeting point will be at Spectrum behind the Target?

to be honest, i'm not sure. i have to get the point coordinators/leaders together and let the OC guys decide which is better suited.
i'm sorry that hasn't been done yet, but things aren't going so well in the LCB house these days... and i've actually moved out for the time being.
i dont even have my own computer at the moment... but i'll try to get on the ball ASAP.

yeah, that is what i would do, too.
LB to Encino:
(depending on where you are in LBC) take the 405n to the 110n to the 101n (which is actually heading due west at this point).
CeloC 04-15-2007, 11:05 PM Most Long Beach peeps would be better off at our 110/405 mini-meet point:

kingsly 04-17-2007, 07:52 PM What is the route? I am up in valencia and would like to join.
I'd suggest the 5 –> 126 –> PCH up to Santa Barbara. PCH can be a nightmare from L.A. to malibu, and the 126 is supposedly scenic, but, more importantly, traffic free.

From your area, meet-up with the caravan where the 126 meets the 101 in Ojai. See you there...

euro96 04-24-2007, 02:30 PM so last year, i met at the Encino/LA meeting point and it was complete chaos leaving.....we were sitting in traffic for a LONG time, and then about 5 cars at a time were going on the freeway (there was a left turn green arrow)....completely broke up the caravan.........
is this going to be fixed?

i doubt it is a good idea to direct the few hundred cars from the caravan to another spot prior to bimmerfest.
they'll have enough fun in the already incredibly long line of cars just to get into the event... yet alone meeting up with an entire different group to get in.

PM me...
although i dont suggest the extra meet up point for the caravan... and i think you should start taking these questions to ANOTHER thread...
the TDF/teck groups that are not going up in the caravan (myself included, i have to be there very early in the morning so i dont even do the caravan i organize anymore)...
we are meeting at the old Cutter BMW dealership... now santa barbara bmw. we actually meet on the MBZ/porsche side, and then drive in together.
feel free to stop by.
but you can start your own thread, now.
stridenEVOe30 05-03-2007, 01:56 AM this was only for socale30.com members who might not have seen the new updates, not intended for other bmw crews
LeftCoastBias 05-03-2007, 02:49 AM this was only for socale30.com members who might not have seen the new updates, not intended for other bmw crews
all the more reason it belongs in it's own thread.
