When I squeeze the radiator hose that goes from water pump to thermostat housing (the hose that runs over distributor) it doesn't seem to have water in it. Is this a sign that my thermostat is stuck in the closed position and not working properly? All the other hoses have pressurized water when the car is warmed up.

Judging by the list of your cars, we aren't talking about an E30 M3 are we?


BMW thermostats normally stick open, not closed. Is the car overheating? Are you sure you have enough coolant in the car?
