I know that there is no BMW content, but there is Opcon/LAminova content... This is a very cool vehicle..

Mee too. I wish there was a vendor out there willing to take an e39 540/M5 and incorporate a TS instead of the Vortech. I so want the ultimate 4 door sleeper... At 6'5", I just can't seem to fit right in an Audi no matter how I try so switching is out of the question! Funny though that I fit fine in my e36..:buttrock

There is certainly a vendor WILLING to do an E39M5.

However I don't know that there is anyone willing to part with their car long enough, and enough dollars, to make it practical for anyone other than the certifiably insane!

Steve, with vehicle in hand and an open budget, how long would it take this time for you to churn out a viable product?

Depends on timing, and other projects ongoing at the time.

A running prototype in 6-12 months if being "thrifty" and doing most prototype fabrication myself. If budget was not a significant concern, and willing to pay for expensive one-off castings, etc, then it could probably be done more quickly.

However for me, since it is a "side job" that is the limiting factor. Hence the conservatism in the time estimates. If I really dug in, and ignored my life, etc, who knows.

If someone who was filthy rich were to "employ" me full time, things would move much much more quickly!
