First post.
Looking to purchase an E92 by April.
What do you all recommend installing snow tires on a E92 Coupe and if available what size rim and bolt pattern would I need ?
thanks,

I reccomend that you log onto www.tirerack.com (http://www.tirerack.com) and pick out a tire and wheel package. You will most likely choose either the Bridgestone Blizzaks, or the Dunlop Winter Sports. I have the Dunlops on my 335i Sedan now, and have had the Blizzaks on other cars in the past. Both are great tires in my opinion.

I have 17" Bridgestone Blizzaks. They are very good.

I am running 17" Pirelli 210 snowsport's on BMW wheels. Turner Motorsport had some good winter wheel and tire packages for the new 3 series.

The other consideration here is the width of the tire, or more precisely the aspect. In winter tires it's best to have narrower tires, so I would predict you'd be looking at 225-45/17. You can also -1 the aspectg (in this case) so a think a 215-50 would work. I think I did this right; it's been a while since I thought about winter tires. Tire Rack even lists a 205-50-16 as a possible package, although at some point you have to start worrying about drivability and speedo accuracy.
You are wise to consider a second set. Even all-wheel drives get stuck if there's no traction. I'm partial to Nokias.

I doubt 16" would fit over the E92 brakes. The clearance on 17" is very small.

Try this link. These are very good winter tires, especially if you are in Canada.

As mentioned above, you can not run 16" wheels on your 335i. The rotors are too massive.
I am running 225/45-17 Dunlop Wintersport RFT's on Sport Edition rims for the Winter. I replaced the center caps with BMW roundels. Once the chance of snow is gone the 18" factory wheels will go back on.
BMWSportXXX, I had used the Nokian Hakkapelita's (spelling?) on my SAABs through the 90's and thought the world of them. Great all around performers on those mild mannered cars. I'm not sure of how they work with higher performance auto's though.

Well IMHO they have a very good winter performance tyre. You can get Nokian WR in runflats. Tyre size 225/45R-17. (standard size for e92's) But they have several other choices depending on what type of winter driving you encounter. As far as I know Canada does see alot of snow. So maybe a studded tyre might be a better choice. Albeit that would not be the greatest choice for track day. IMHO.
