the time has come to get my 85 Euro M6 through Ca smog again.

I have new aftermarket cats (which chokes the hp, yuk) and I've tested already. It passes CO and fails NO, badly.

1) any hints where I might go in the Orange County area to get "help" smogging

2) Any hints what I might do to pass, high Octane fuel etc,

I love this car, but Ca smog is driving me batshit

Only way I know of is to take the stock cats off and get some catalytic Converters with Metal honeycombs. That is what Motorex and others have used to make Skylines, Porsches 959 car and others street legal and smogged. The Ceramic honeycomb in the old fashioned catalytic converters just doesn't cut it.

Also might sound nuts but you could try the Neodymium Magnets around the fuel line which may work also as that cuts down the Carbon, and Hydrogen buildup.

Just some ideas.... I know the Metal Honeycomb inside Cats will make a HUGE difference. I think Random Technolgy, and Carsound aka Magnaflow still sell them. Just make sure to get a CARB legal 50 state cat that can be registered and you are all good.

Most people will say I am full of shite on here but who cares because i know it works.

A fresh oil change and clean injectors can make a world of difference.

You need to move to KY! We don't have smog laws! I could run straight pipes all day long and maybe get a noise violation... but I had a nova in highschool, 454 with dumps off the headers... haha and that was only a year ago... never got a ticket for noise actually got out of most burnouts etc. because the officers used to have one or knew someone who did... lol

Those are very nice! How do they perform in reducing CO, CO2, and NO, and HydroCarbon emissions?

He said his car passed with flying colors. I will ask him for number results.

Thanks a bunch since I am presently running a Magnaflow hi-flow 50 state legal cat and even it is restrictive. These cats UUC are exactly like what i was talking about earlier in the last week in this thread. They have Metal Catalysts, there are also some made I believe still by magnaflow that are 50 state legal that have a more traditional design and metal honeycomb catalyst. i know they used to be available from some guys I used to know that specialize in Jeeps, and Nissans down in Avoca, Arkansas call http://www.warpsepeedperformance.com
