Where does one fill the manual trans on an 83 533i, and then bleed it?

put your car on jackstands and crawl underneath. you will see a a hexnut on the underside of the ribbed portion of the tranny. this is the drain plug. you will need a 17ml hex wrench to remove/tighten. the fill plug is just above and also uses a 17ml hex to remove/tighten.

Cool! What type of fluid do I put in?

if memory serves correct 80/90 wt gear oil. red line if possible.
