After driving amost any car that was available with a stick shift or that had AWD (specifically looking for both), I think I'm prepared to order a BMW to replace my 2002 A41.8tqms. The G35 was the next best, but it's not available in a manual transmission with AWD, the cheaper price is very tempting but it sucks down fuel like there's no tomorrow.
I was perfectly satisfied with the 328's I've driven (one an i the other an xi). However I went and did it when I drove a 335i (albeit with an automatic) last week. The torque was amazing, I couldnt even tell that it was it was turbocharged, and it felt better than the biturbo B5 S4 imo. However I do worry a bit about the LT reliability challenges that a twin turbo BMW would have over an NA inline-six engine.
I'm tempted to order a stripped down 335xi which would would help make the pill easier to swallow - I wasn't planning on leasing.
What kind of availability should dealers have right now for 335xi sedans? One salesman thought there might be a waiting list. I'm in SE PA.
What would be a reasonable price to pay over invoice for either a 328xi or a 335xi?
Thanks.
