Sounds to expensive to me.

Looks like a few tasteful upgrades have been taken care of. Sounds like a really nice M3! Although I could find better uses for $27k.

My verdict: nay

Good ones are becoming very hard to find. Pricing in the mid twenties is not uncommon, but the example has to be VERY good. Prices on these babies continues to rise.

Yes, I agree.
Nice examples are few and far between, as most are either getting written off/riced-out or tracked to death.

For someone to buy this M3, it would be in their best interest to keep it as a garage queen / weekend car, and not abuse it. At this price it should be more of an investment, not a purchase.

You say you need something reliable... is this going to be a daily driver?

Yeah, this sounds like a sweet car but definately too expensive. Maybe if it had like 20k miles on it... I've seen those go for around these prices. Either way I say pass IMO. Especially if you want a DD.

That's a lot of cash even though it sounds like a solid car. That's e46 m3 money possibly even e39 m5 money, I know e30 m3's are rare, but:devillook

Thats just to expensive. I saw a very rare e30 m3 with 10k miles and it went for around $30,000, and it was in excellent condidtion. I have no doubt that there are better deals out there. Personally, I would just rebuild the engine rather than paying that much. But it's your choice though. Any pics???

I could see paying 27k for absolute perfection, but this car is clearly not that. I vote nay

Thought I had seen this somewhere else.....

IMO, nice car, but not 27k nice:
-too many unoriginal (albeit tasteful, and high quality) parts.
-given the nature of these parts, it was hammered on.
-questionable body work (paint matches? why rear fender respray? What was extend of front end damage from fender replacement?)

I'm in no way trying to shit on the add, or the seller (Actually, I think it's cool that they sell is M cars) , but these are just some of the thoughts that would have crossed my mind if I were looking at buying this car.

nay.
although I'd love to have a gorgeous and well-maintained e30 m, 27k is too steep.

Not worth the 27K at all, I would expect the low miles with all original parts, no respray, no accidents, and in mint condition. Definitely keep looking around.

If you are a collector, and you plan on storing the car than you will pay mid 20's and up depending on the car. If you are a collector, look for a 90 or a 91, better color combinations and closer to the end of the production run, and few subtle differences. I think for 27 you can find one with lower miles.

Lol, what a rip..

For 27k you should get a 10k or less milage PERFECT vehicle.

No way. You could buy 27 non-M e30s with that.

Very true... 27k is ton of money for that car.. I have seen a few less then perfect E30 M3s sell for like 10k with high miles.. then put 10-15k into that and see where u end up!!!

IMHO $27k should buy a pristine, low mileage M3. That price is almost EVO territory. Furthermore, you should seriously reconsider buying an E30 M3 for a daily driver. Volumes have been written about this particular facet of E30M3 ownership.

Too expensive.

they seem to price their cars pretty accordingly, but in this case i think that's too much, it should be original paint, original body panels, in perfect shape, with all those mods to boot. it's in good shape, but i don't think 27k shape, and the roll bar scares me. no one puts in a roll bar just to drive on streets

Keep in mind that is not a private sell price (Consigneed) and the car is very nice. I woukd not pay that much but to the right person the price could be justified.

Do you guys have to pay sales tax on top of that?

It has been a while that I haven't bought a used car in the States...

Just thought I would mention that I almost purchased a 89 M3 from crevier BMW with 47000 miles on it in emmaculate condition for 24,000. Ya that was in 1992. That was 15 years ago. 27k they are seriously high:rolleyes

Without having seen the car, it's probably worth about $20k based on the mileage. The mods, while tasteful, actually hurt the value IMO.
