So if I were to send my wheels off to get refinished, is there a rental place in Austin that will let me use wheels + tires for a couple of days?

And since we're on the topic ... anyone know of a good wheel refinisher? :)

Thanks.

Tire rental??? haha

I think you'd be better off just renting a cheap econobox, or using it as a good opportunity to buy some aftermarket wheels.

I just found this:

Looks like they have an Austin location. Anyone have experience with them?

Rent to own is a bit different from a set term rental, although I can't say I've ever been in a rent to own situation...

Bah. I guess the only silver lining here is that an econobox rental is like $35/day.

Thanks though.

I actually really like my M Contours though. The finish is just a little past its prime. The rental is just so I can get around while the wheel's being worked on, not 'cuz I'm being thrifty ... :shifty

do you not know anyone in Austin that will let you borrow some wheels/tires? Hell buy some used ones and then just resell them after you're done

PM me. I've got a set you may be able to borrow. I'm in Austin.

Well, looks like I now have enough wheels to do this without buggin' people. Hey cajunairman, thanks for the offer though!
