I'll be driving cross country to BimmerFest 2007 in Santa Barbara. I just wanted to see if any other locals or Floridians in general will be making the trek. I went to Bfest last year and it was amazing. By far, the best car show event I've ever attended. Thousands and thousands of Bimmers. It was sensory overload.

Anyways, I drove from Seattle last year with a huge group from Canada, washington, oregon, idaho, utah, and cali, and it was almost as fun as the event itself. I wanted to plan way ahead for this thing. It's on May 5th at the Earl Warren fairgrounds in Santa Barbara.

Anyone else driving from south florida?

Damn, I'd go with you if I didn't have to go home right after school gets out. Good luck, I may do this the year after.

May 5th.

I'll prob leave 3-5 days earlier. The exact details arent set in stone yet. Last time, I drove straight through with no stops or sleep and it was kinda hellish, so I want at least a night or two at hotels along the way.

how long was the drive straight??

hotels on the way there and back, plus while youre there can get kinda pricey...

im down if someone takes one for the team and follows in an RV for us to sleep in

I just talked to my buddy and we are both down to drive. PM me your number. I have wanted to go forever. It would be 3 E36 M3s.

The drive from Seattle to Santa Barbara took 20-25 hours I think. No stops at hotels, so just gas and snacks made for an affordable trip. I can sleep in my car if necessary, but I'd prefer just to get a 40$ room at Motel 6 or somethin.

Sounds good, I hope we can get a decent group goin. It's so much more enjoyable when driving in a pack.

Yup. I love road trips. The longer the better.
