I am about to order a set of BBS LM replicas.
18x8 +35
18x9 +38

i already have two 225/40/18 tires that i was going to put on the front wheels and then just purchase some 255/35/18's for the rear.

but i was thinking about going for the stretched tire look by putting the 225's in the rear and buying a pair of 215/40/18's for the front.

any thoughts??? suggestions???

If you want stretch.... put the 215's on the back and a 205 on the front.

I would not go smaller than the 225/40R18 on the 18X9 wheel.

From Wheel Specialists a local shop here in Tempe, AZ
Price is $600.

that's a bit too extreme! maybe if it was a show car and never got drivin.

I would not go smaller than the 225/40R18 on the 18X9 wheel.

thanks for the input. i don't wanna get too crazy, i still have to drive this thing everyday!

They're actually looking pretty good...I wonder how's the quality and how heavy is it.

the 18's are about 22lbs. the quality is very good for the price!

i might even get some BBS center caps on eBay to go with them

18's at 22lbs are even lighter than stock 17's....if you get it...I wanna wait till you get it and maybe a review on the quality in person...for some assurance.

I'm running 225/40/18's on my 18x9's. I like the look with a little stretch, but the trade off is less grip. I'd rather put a little more rubber on the ground than have a cool look. That's why I'm considering swapping my almost new 225's for 245's.

that was also a concern of mine.
so are swapping to a 245/40/18... why not a 255/35/18?

If you keep the 225/40R18 on the front the rear should be 245/35R18 or 255/35R18 to keep the diameter the same.

i'd like to run 245/35/18's but they are hard to find, and 255/35/18's are a dime a dozen.

what do you recommend?

Word on the street is 245's feel better on a 9" wheel. I don't understand why more tires aren't made in 245/35/18.

this is the 18x9 placed in front of the 225/40/18 Pilot Sport.

maybe i won't go for the stretched look...

I just found a pair of 245/35/18 Hankook Ventus Sport tires for $170. maybe i'll just buy them and see how they fit.
