I am getting ready to start the prep work for my 95 Calypso e34 and was thinking about deleting the sidemarker lights to give it a cleaner shaved look. What do you guys think? Could somebody maybe photoshop an e34 with the sidemarker lights deleted (preferably Calypso)? I already put smoked lenses in the side turn signals, it is almost like euro trim you can't even hardly see them. Thanks: Marty

You don't need a photoshop, just find an earlier '94 and earlier.

I would never delete it. One choice would be to do the '97+ sidemarker, but will take a bit of bodywork.

Well don't I feel stupid:nono I did not realize that most e34s don't have them. That would defeat the whole objective of having a unique mod. I think I will just get smoked sidemarkers. The ones on the e39 don't look different enough to warrant the swap. Thanks

It's cool, your head's in the right place.

I love the sidemarkers though, very Euro and a safety feature.

I believe your thinking about the side blinkers in the bodyside molding. Thats what they make euro trim for to replace the molding that houses the blinker lenses with molding that has no lenses in them. It's a real good look. I took the cheap alternative which is smoked lenses that blend into the molding and pretty much dissapear creating a similar effect.

Those are sidemarkers as well.

Fender blinkers = euro, trim sidemarkers= US

Mine are blacked out and I only have the rears lighted, I like em lighted because it s a big black car with very little lateral illumination.

I figure anyone who wouldn't see my side but see my sidemarkers either 1. needs to turn their damn lights on, or 2. should slow down when approaching intersections.

Agreed, except when you are talking about kids with heavily tinted windows backing up at the Shop...

Fair enough. Amended, then: or 3. need to realize that with a lot of tint comes a responsibility to make sure you're not about to hit something. Yes, that means getting out and looking if necessary.
