View Full Version : Selling my ACS type III reps. 3 good ones, 1 is bent
RVAE34 02-26-2007, 08:12 PM I am selling my set of ACS type III one piece wheels. I have all 4, but 1 is bent. It looks perfect, but wheel collision said it is twisted. These are 18x8.5 and I believe the offset is 20mm, but may be 15. They fit perfect on my lowered E34 and never rubbed. They are all in excellent condition and look exactly like the originals. If you buy a real one to replace the bent one, then you have a set for $1350 instead of $3600. I have been told that single wheels pop up every now and again from $400-750 on eBay and Craigslist, but I haven't found any that will fit the E34. They are almost always for the E36/46
I will let them go for $450 non negotiable and that does not include shipping which would probably be around $75-80.

MMmmmpower 02-26-2007, 08:43 PM Did you ever drive the car with the bent rim? Reason I ask is because one of my rims is bent and has some vibrations at around 80km/h. If I were to buy a new set of rims I deffinitly dont want to have to deal with vibrations again. IF it were to vibrate how much do you think it would cost to have the rim repaired?
Its good that you mentioned they didnt rub on a lowerd set up because I just ordered springs today.
RVAE34 02-26-2007, 09:00 PM The 3 good ones don't vibrate at all. The 4th couldn't be fixed by wheel collision and they seem to be the best. I would just assume you would have to replace that one. Brand new ACS type III's cost $900 a piece. Unfortunately several ind. wheels were available when I first got my car a year ago, but I didn't need them. Wish I had bought the set of reps back then that went for $700. I am sure more will pop up, but I need to recoop some of the cost of my $1500 OEM-pars
It kills me that the wheel looks perfect, but..........
BavarianCrzd 02-26-2007, 09:06 PM Damn i wish i had $450, i only live about 1 1/2 hours away to:(
RVAE34 02-26-2007, 09:14 PM I am in no rush, that is why I will not budge on price. I think that is a very reasonable deal. Just keep it in mind.
attack eagle 02-26-2007, 11:33 PM FYI, one piece real Type IIIs are on sale at bav auto for ~$700 in e34 fitment.
RVAE34 02-26-2007, 11:41 PM Wish I had known that before I bought the M-pars. Although. I really want to see what the M-pars in the hyper silver will look like on my car. Now that it is getting fixed, I want a change.
MMmmmpower 02-27-2007, 02:07 AM Hmmm do you think that there would be a noticable difference bewteen the 3 reps and the one real one? If you dont sell in the next couple weeks I'll deffinitly be intrested....would you ship them to Canada?
RVAE34 02-27-2007, 09:19 AM They are identical to the reals. They were made using the real ones as a mold. Unlike the type III 3 piece reps which don't really look anything like the real ones IMO. I would ship to Canada but it would be kind of expensive for you I'm sure.
attack eagle 02-27-2007, 10:13 AM OK I asked for a PS chop of your rims on my touring... lets see how it comes out. I need visual proof to show the accountant. :)
I just installed my new tires on the 3 piece reps last night though... :(

RVAE34 02-27-2007, 10:28 AM That's pretty damn good!!!!
attack eagle 02-27-2007, 10:41 AM yeah, I'll let you know. I've been in love with the 1 piece forever, I hate the way the 3 piece look like 17's, and are a pita to clean .
RVAE34 02-27-2007, 10:46 AM I can't even imagine how bad it must be to clean around the plastic rivots. If I am not completely blown away by the way the hyper-silver M-pars look on my car, I may just sell them and buy 2 real type III's and put the best two out of 3 reps on the back. The rear tires are what kill me on the M-pars.
attack eagle 02-27-2007, 10:59 AM 35-45 minutes per rim... :( and that has to be done weekly... but my rivets are metal, not plastic... they are the ocwheelwurx clones not the ebay ones. they are actually sharp... as in appearance and they hurt.
I was joking with the wife that I should get em and run one piece on one side and 3 piece on the other.
In any case this has been loads of free bumps. :)

What size tires are you running? Are you 18's staggerred. (sorry OT)
e34life 03-23-2007, 06:19 PM 18x8 all around, and im running goodyear eagle f2, 225-40-18.
awesome tire btw.
RVAE34 03-23-2007, 07:43 PM Well, when I slid backwards into a fixed object......Well..... Let's just say the wheel didn't like it too much (Neither did the car hence the 7 months w.out driving it). I sent it to wheel collision in PA and they couldn't fix it. The other 3 are golden.
My car is almost complete and I am excited to see her with the hyper silver powdercoat OEM M-pars.
serfanatic 03-25-2007, 10:11 AM These won't fit an E39, would they?
