Hey Guys,
My GF and I are looking for some new places to eat downtown. I'm talking like those hidden, delicious, not very well known places that always seem to have the best food and drink prices :buttrock
We are pretty open to all types of food so feel free to list off whatever your secret spots are!
Thanks! :buttrock

depends on what you like and where? Im down in South Hills and I know of an awesome Italian place. its off of rt 51 heading south from the 'burgh, in jefferson hills. You go past Century 3 mall, Southland, BP, Century 3 Dodge, Sheetz, Saturn and Toyota. You'll come to an intersection after those 2 dealerships and its on your right just after that. It's called Cicanti's

Wow I drive by this place all the time. I did notice it gets pretty busy at times..never went in though. I will have to check it out!

Not a Pittsburgh guy, but spend quite a bit of time out there for work. Had lunch yesterday at Spaghetti Warehouse (I think that was the name). Wasn't a bad lunch type meal at all, and the price was pretty good too IMO.

Girasole is probably my favorite restaurant on Walnut Street/Shady Side, I highly recommend it.

The little Gyro joint on Sixth between Heinz Hall and the river same side of the street. Along with gyro's they have daily Greek specials. You can get 1/2 a chicken with rice pilaf and a drink for lunch for about 6 bucks. They also have a half way decent selection of beer.
Another place tucked out of the way is a small Thai restaurant near the Smithfield street bridge. It is on First Ave about a 1/4 block up from Smithfield toward Grant Street. I know it is open for lunch but not sure about dinner.
Tessaro's on Liberty Ave just as you are entering Bloomfield from town has some great burgers grilled on a wood fire. Full blown bar at this one. Right hand side of the street a couple blocks up from the Bloomfield Bridge.
