Alright, I swear I saw a simmilar question one time but I've been searching the last half hour and can't find it.
Will the wheels from my 97 528i pictured below fit on a 97 540/6? I know the bolt pattern and center bore will match, but I don't know about the brakes clearing. I will be picking up my new 540/6 and I would like to bring the wheels from my 528 along because they have snow tires on them and the tires on the 540 are strictly intended for summer and would be quite dangerous in the wintery weather we've had here. It is going to be a 3 hour plus drive home, so I want have the safer wheels on if they will fit.

PS the tires on there are 225/60-15's so if my understanding of tires/wheels is correct that would make my OEM 528 wheels 15"
If all else fails I suppose I can just bring them and try, but it would be nice to have a definate answer before lugging 4 extra wheels along on the trip and leaving my 528 on jackstands.
Thanks
