How does the mini automatic transmission differ from any other transmission on the market? Has a different feel when shifting....none of that crisp popping into gear as do american cars. Feels like it is spooling up with the engine reving but never a pop- into- gear feel. Is it slipping?

If you're referring to the automatic on a 2002-2006 Cooper, it's a CVT. It has no gears.
