I have a set of SSR Type C rims that I am looking to sell. These rims are winning gold in colour and were imported from Japan, to my door. These are the Type C version. Mounted on them are near brand new summer performance tires (10,000 kms/6000 miles on them).
Here are the specs:
Rims: SSR Type C
Size: 16x7
Bolt pattern: 5x114.3
Offset: 42mm
Weight: 11.0 lbs (verified by me when I purchased them)
Colour: Winning Gold
Construction: Semi Solid Forged
Tires: Falken FK-452
Size: 225/50/16
The rim/tire combo weighs 35.8 lbs (all 4 identical... which also speaks to the condition of the tires being almost brand new... they still have the little "hairs" on the tread). With the rims being the only change on my car between visits to the dragstrip, I dropped over 3/10 of a second in the 1/4 mile!!! My gas mileage improved over 10%. My stock rims on my old car do not weigh that much more (5.5 lbs more only). Lightweight rims like this really do make a HUGE HUGE difference. On top of that the semi solid forged construction of these rims make them literally bulletproof!
I do have the receipt for the tires (for warranty purposes) and might even have the receipt for the rims (if I can find it). The price of the rims and tires that I bought with them came to over $2500!
My asking price for the set of rims and tires is $1890. I am however open to reasonable offers. I am posting a picture below of them in my basement last week. I put them away for the Winter. Please PM or e-mail me at speeedemn@hotmail.com for any additional information or pictures.
