Hey, I'm local to you and worked with a bunch of UTI guys.
You can get in touch with me for some BMW meets. There is an auto cross this Sunday (if you are interested).

my check engine light comes on sometime and my tranny light will come on and when that happens it wont go into overdrive or 1rst gear but when i cut the car off for about 10 sec and start it back up the light goes off and its fine so i was thinking I would take it to a shop but im from Michigan and not sure where to go
thanks for your help

Where in Houston are you? I think i can find a good BMW place that you can go to. Theres one called Bavarian Workshop thats close to Humble on 1960, they are really good, and theres another place called BHS thats by 249 and 1960.

Not much to be found on the soutwest side. Bavarian Machine is worth looking at. Matt G of matthew's auto is here on BF.c and does good work, but is pretty busy. I would probably stay away from BHS for what you are looking for, they aren't cheap and their experience is more geared towards mods.

I'm game.... I just need to install my new idler pulley so the squeel comes from the charger...not the pulley.
