Has anybody ever seen one of these and how rare is it? Says it is a 1967 2000cs. It is for sale for 850.00.

Pretty darn rare. That was the orignal coupe built on the 02 platform. $850? If restorable a good price. If not there can be some very rare parts to be harvested. Headlights alone are getting very hard to come by.

Yup, 2 liter hence the name 2000 CS, 2000cc and CS designates coupe.

Actually that's the predecessor to the e9 coupe and was not built on the '02 platform. They are pretty rare in the U.S. but they don't seem to have much of a following so the prices remain low-generally not much better than an e21....

Yes, they used the m10 in a couple of versions including a dual carb set up.

A few come up for sale every year on ebay and the on line adds.
Most are in rough shape due to rust.

Ken,

I thought the 2000 had the same E number as the 02 indicating shared platforms?

Other than the nose the bodies are very much the same as the e9. Visit the e9 coupe forums and you will see them there.

There was also a 4 door sedan with the m10 and a 1600/1800/2000 designation, I think it was very similar to the '02 but slightly larger. I've only seen 2 of those on the road.

The 1600/1800/2000 was the Neu Klasse. They are cool in there own way. The TiSa version is very desirable.
