Does anyone know what the new coupe is limited to and how fast it can go with the limiter removed? :buttrock

I was thinking probably closer to 170 with the limiter off. The speedo might read 180 but I think real speed won't be much more than 170. Of course since I have never had it over 155 I don't know and just guessing.

Leave it in 5th and there is no limiter. I saw 170 and it was still pulling but I was running out of straight.

No limiter out yet?!?!?!......What's Steve Dinan up to these days that he can't fix these things for us.

From what I've seen in my Roadster, you hit the aerodynamic limit in 5th before you hit the redline limit. Anecdotal evidence from the Coupes yields a slightly higher but similar result.

Most people have difficulty finding areas where they can explore the top end. You gotta love west Texas and eastern New Mexico for that.

Yes West Texas is a great place to discover warp speeds! Flat long stretches with nothing but road for many miles. Too bad I can't get out that way more to explore the beast's limits. (I did once and that is when I was doing 155 before I started fearing for my life and wallet)

Only 155? No offense, its just that my 10 year old family sedan will do that with no problem at all and feel very stable, maybe that has to do with the weight of the compared cars thoug. I still think a roadster, especially an M model, should be able to exceed that. Maybe they just didn't want to.....??

They're electronically limited at 155. You want to go faster, you'll need to drop it off of a cliff.

Or perhaps add a solid fuel booster rocket! Or learn how to reprogram the ECU yourself!

At 155 things are moving fast enough and some of the roads in west Texas aren't the best maintained. I was more concerned about hitting a nasty dip or bump in the road and ending up one of those photos on wrecked exotics. That is why I only tested it out once and only on the most desolate stretch of road I could find (near Odessa, where there are more tumble weeds than people).

Haha... I didn't mean to imply that your some sort of pansy for not trying to go above 155, I just was suprised that that's all the more capable the car is.
