Wifey wants to take a "day-trip" on Saturday. Any ideas? Anything in three hour drive or so is game... She's home for the weekend we didn't want to end up just hanging around the house. I am cool with that, I pay the mortgage but I thought I might suprise her.

NYC? Or is that > 3 hours from ballamoe?

I dont know what your wife is like, but would she like the ever so retarded amish country? People go over there to lancaster, pa area all the time to see buggies and shit. i dont get it, but it seems to be popular. There is also a ton of outlet shopping overthere too. appearently that is what the area is known for.

Just a thought.

I'm not sure what the weather is going to be like this weekend but you could go on a hike.

Hiking is sort of out with the ice and all. I would take her skating but we could use the backyard for that. Lancaster is an idea. I would rather mainline some draino before going to NYC again. "It is a silly place".

Deep Creek is somewhat far for just a day. Lancaster is an option. Is the Crab Claw open this time of year?

If the weather is too nice I will be pissed as I have some new taillights and an HID kit for the bimmer to install. Not to mention a whole pile of crap to install for my Miata. Grrrr!

Skiing? Lots of places within 3 hour drive from B-more. If you're not a skier, you could do snow tubing. Cheap, fun, and requires no skill whatsoever.

Montpelier or Monticello or Mount Vernon are all cool, and probably very pretty in the snow. Mount Vernon is probably <90 min from Baltimore, and the other two are slightly further away. (Both near Charlottesville.)

go visit like st. michaels or like crisfield, anything that is historic on the eastern shore is beautiful and always fun to walk around and see.

Charlottesville is 90 min from nova...add at least 45 mins from baltimore.

Can y'all go on Sunday? And if so, maybe try hitting up the Poconos. I'll be up there with the gal pal and some buddies.

If you do Lancaster, I can help you out with things to do.

Appearently, "Shady Maple Smorgasboard" is a HUGE tourist attraction. You can get as many plates of food as you want. Dont drive your roadster, as you and your girl will no longer be able to fit in the thing.

Tanger Outlets (Where salvia.d works at Banana Republic) houses many upper end clothing stores with lower priced stuff. Honestly, for only living 45 minutes from tourist world, I dont know anything really good to do other than eat. There are lots of places that are better to eat at that arent popular, as goes with any other place.

PM me if you decide to come up this way. I can tell you a few places to check out!

Extra plates of Amish food FTW! I am not worried about her fitting in the roadster, it'smy own ass I would be concerned with. She's training for a 10 mile race, there's nothing left of her!

I have some pins in my foot from my last ski-adventure. So I am down to St. Michaels or Lancaster, or Monticello. Thanks for the ideas guys!

Update: So the Crab Claw is closed until March which really sucks. I had my heart set on destroying some crab cakes.

So it looks like Lancaster might be the winner here. I wanted to keep it to just Saturday b/c I wanted to install the rollbar in my Miata if the weather cooperates.
