I got a ticket yesterday for having 20% on my front windows. The cop said I have to take it off and get it signed off (fix-it). I read the back of the ticket and it said something about I wont get fined if I take it off, but I will if I dont? How does that work? What should I do?

just pay the fine and dont take it off.... what a hassle. i will not remove my tint.

It was by 141 and 44. He wrote me up for tint and also mentioned no front plate, but just gave me a warning for that. He was going the other way on 141 and turned around just so he could come get me. He rode my ass for about 1/2 a mile before pulling me over.

This is why I am afraid to get tint. Cops suck.

Front side windows - 35%

Front plate - depending on municipality, ~50.00 fine.


I will NOT take my side tint off of my car. I will just pay the fine and go about my business. I'll badge the officer first and hopefully he'll say, oh ok, sorry sir. if not, i'll pay the ticket. same goes for my front plate... since having a DoD sticker on the window, I have yet to have problems with my front plate. usually they won't bother if youre a fed.

as hot as it gets in Missouri, there should be no limit on Tint percent.

Get your doctor to write a note that you have sensitive eyes... for some reason that actually works. I know I'm in CO, however, I have been told it does work in other states. Or, just roll down both your front windows when you get pulled over. Or, you can always deal with it and pay the fines.. which I'm sure can't be that gigantic.
