Below are the two cars I bought Saturday. Don't know what I'll do with them yet. The dark mess on them is pine sap. Should come clean with some elbow grease.

Are the engines in these cars interchangeable? I have a few more pictures if anyone is interested. FYI...not my house...this is where I found them. Although...in Arkansas....they all look pretty much the same.

79 for dd and e30 for turbo beast!! Yea the engines are interchangeable, althought if you're going to mount the 30 engine in the e21 you want to stick with the e21 transmission, and vice versa.

if its the first "version" of the e21 tan it has a 4 speed, and the 4 speeds SUCK!

im used to seeing e21s in pictures like that. but seeing that E30 (which looks worse than the E21 in my opinion) is sad...maybe its just dirty. but hey go for it!

Lookin at those surroundings it's no wonder "dueling banjos" and The Deer Hunter came hauntingly to mind. Good thing you had the wife with you. He probably would have wanted to offer to throw in his cousin/daughter in the deal too. Who knows? Maybe he'll take the proceeds from the deal and add on an addition to the house. Some 2 X 4's, plywood and cedar shakes should blend right in.

FYI: Basic Arkansas Information....that's not JUST a pool...that's also their water for drinking, bathing (limited use), horse watering, parts washing, etc.

Newport is in the Northeast part of the state between Little Rock and Jonesboro. If you look at a map, we're right at the end of the 4 lane on 67 / 167.

I paid $300 total for both...but...that doesn't include the monies required over and above the purchase price for anger-abatement vis a vis wife.
