Hey so I was downtown last night and parked in a parking lot and paid the fee, so I think I am safe. It in a good part of town so I think its a good parking spot. Anyways I come back after about 3-4 hours and some homeless man is like "shit homes! that you bimmer???!! some fuck just hit it a while ago!" I was quickly surveying my car and the homeless guy showed me what happened. My left rear molding is trashed. Like a quarter of it cracked and broke off, my taillight is scuffed, and my bumper has a small dent in it. This is so fukin dumb because 3 months ago a guy it me in an athletic club parking lot IN THE SAME EXACT FUKIN SPOT! THe first one was worse cause the left rear corner panel now has a minor kink in in. Anyways sorry for the rant, but I am just so fuking mad. No one ever sees my car til they smash into it.

The homless man said the guys plate started with "YEA" then either a "K" or and "H" but the guy sped away so he couldnt get it all. It was a black pontiac firebird/thunderbird or some other pontiac sedan.

What should I do?? can i call the DMV?? will they try the half of plate # and cross ref it with black pontiacs? I dont really care all that much cause its just a new moulding, but I would like to try and get the guys contact info so I can call him and try to get some money and threaten to file for a hit and run.

or do i just file a hit and run??

It seems like it was a vanity plate if it 4 letters in a row, so my money is on "yeah__".

Contact the buisnesses to see if they have security cams, if he was in one of their lots im sure they have him on tape.

the DMV wont give you any info. you have to file a complaint at the station and IF they get around to it, theyll let you know something. sucks don't it?

That's shitty man. I'd hate for that to happen. Especially since I have an e30 m3 and insurance probably wouldn't give me shit.
