Even if you don't want to drive your car, take the trip and meet anyway. All are welcome. We will have a picnic so feel free to bring what you want. There are tennis courts and a nice field to throw a frisbee plus walking trails if you feel the need.

i'll be up there this year providing i can get my car back on the road by spring time.

Every year we have about 9-10 cars. Each year there is a number of new people who show up. If we had everyone who came each year, there would be over 35 cars there. If I can get 20 cars, I have someone to write an article for one of the BMW publications! LETS DO IT THIS YEAR!

I am not too sure if I will make it with my car.
I have all the chrome now, and I have it scheduled a week at a shop to finish it off. I have to mess around with clogged fuel systems and fuel pumps.

AS for GJ I dont think he is going to be in e21s..he has purchased a mercades which he races.....

Yea if no one else can i will. I am still trying to figure out my plans for the weekend. I hopefully will be in egg harbor twsp/sommers point for a while then drive a few hours up to the park. I just need to figure out where i am staying. Central jersey makes it much easier to get a hotel as i learned one time i was down there.

There is a Best Western and a Holiday Inn on rt 35 in Hazlet which is about 10 mins from the park if that helps. The Holiday Inn was just gutted and redone less then a year ago and the Best Western was just taken over. I assume they redid the rooms there too.

Yeah, I'll let you know. I really want to go, but it depends on my money situation as well as my car. I still don't think my car runs the best. So I don't know. I'm not in the mood to get stranded in NJ.

Here is an update:

The gathering is coming up fast! Sunday May 27th. This year looks like a good group is going to show up. I have had a lot of response and I think we will have the largest attendance this year. As always, if your car is not up to the trip you are welcome to show up anyway with or without your e21. I have a couple folks that might not drive their e21's but are still showing up.

When you get into the park. Stay to the right and follow up to parking lot 3 which is at the top of the hill. Look for my Black 320i and park in line. I should be there about 8-9am to make sure we get a picnic area. The gathering starts at 11am and goes until whenever. If you are lost, my cell phone number is 732-673-2347.

I am planning on bring the charcoal, hamburgers, hotdogs, and rolls. If anyone wants to bring anything, please email me and I will list what you are bringing. Last year we have a LOT of food so we don't need everyone to bring but its good to have a variety. Water, soda and chips are probably the only things we will need unless you have special dietary needs. PLEASE BE AWARE... This is a park so there will be bees, flies, wildlife etc. OFF or some kind of bug repellent is a good idea. Also last year we had Dunkin Donuts Munchkins which are a tasty treat but with two hours, the box was FULL of bees. If you bring something with sweets, make sure it can sealed shut.

I got a whole car to take the 5-speed parts from. Just trying to see if I can save the auto so I can swap the manual in the winter. With the gas priced the way they are, it might be a better commuter for me this summer and with shore traffic, the auto is easier on the clutch leg. My hemi ram is getting expencive. I have been riding the motorcycle a bit more now. Again, with all the NYC weekend warriors, taking the parkway on a motorcycle is a bit insane!

The weather was GREAT! Sun, Low 80's, light breaze. You missed a good time. A few people bailed out but thats ok. I think having the Gathering on Memorial Day Weekend was a good idea in theory, but I am going to change the date for next year.

Due to popular demand, I will try to plan another gathering this fall before the weather turns sour (end of September?)

I would like to thank everyone who attended especially Brent who came down with Chris from Vermont just for our little gathering. At this time, Chris is dragging him to Atlantic City to dispose of the rest of their money.:cashwalle

the one on the end with the yellow ballsint he fog lights? thats Micheal i think... not sure if he's a member here, but he drove down with his wife, who you can make out sitting in the passenger seat. He said he tracks his car regularly and has done everything and anything you can imagine to the car. (without it sitting in the garage for all eternity)

Yes, his name was Micheal and that is an original 323. The motor in it now is a M20 with some tasty mods. The suspension was very well done and he uses it at the track. The Gray 323 I am not sure if he went to the BAV show. Before he started to come to my events, he never did anything with the car before as in getting together with fellow owners. He bought that car in Germany when he was stationed there. Nice people, nice car.

I am not sure how my pictures are going to be better but they look good. I forgot to take a picture of all the food on the grill as a fun shot. I was too busy greeting people and just shooting the bull and didn't take as many pics as I wanted. I got about 28 shots. I think Rob also took pics.
