Hi all, I have a '03 530 (e39) that's just about to run out of warranty. My local BMW dealership mentioned something about extending it for approx $1200. Is this worthwhile doing?
Thanks.

View Full Version : Extending service contract worth it? eshwars 02-18-2007, 03:04 AM Hi all, I have a '03 530 (e39) that's just about to run out of warranty. Are you talking about extended warranty or just the maintenance service contract? eshwars 02-18-2007, 03:37 AM Yes, the dealer said it was to extend the factory warranty. I'm the 2nd owner. I bought the car last year. It is CPO and has approx. 27k miles on it (I've put about 7K on it). CPO will cover it for a while to come. I guess I should find out how long they (the dealership) would extend it for, didn't think to ask. Doh! chiefwej 02-18-2007, 04:12 AM If it's CPO you are under that warranty 100k and 7 years from original service date. PaliE39 02-18-2007, 12:07 PM extend the maintanence.. its DEF worth it! Warsteiner 02-18-2007, 01:23 PM Check the price of a transmission replace, I just paid $50 for a new one last month. with 99,451 on the odometer. And just think I was debating on changing the lifetime fluid at 100k. |
