Yes it is. It is recommended that you have it before hand, so there is less chance that you get turned away at the gate if too many current members show up (it happens). If you are NOT a member when you show up and there are enough places, they will have you join onsite (again paying the membership fee, on top of the autoX fee). The insurance that the event must have per the stadium rules dictates that all participants are members of the club. Sorry, but those are the rules. :)

...and what, you don't WANT to be in the BMW CCA?!??!

uberpanzer - You goingto be there?
I was - BUT - work is sending me to CHina on the 25 of this month and I will not be back till the 5th of March. I will be at the 24th event though, hope to see you then.

Need to be a BMWCCA member, because that is the blanket property liability coverge for the event.
Can not drive without the membership - it's only $45.00 a year - worth the cost for the 6 to 10 times you can run a year between San Deigo and LA events, plus track days.

I enjoy Roundel much more than I do sportscar...

I wish we were having an auto-x in march :confused , our fist event is the end of April and sometimes there is still snow around for the first event....Auto-x alone makes me want to move back to Texas, so I can go all year around...
