Hey guys,

I am looking for a project car. I am looking to rebuild the entire car from the ground up, so I don't care what condition it is in. I would prefer no dents (at least not large). Engine has to be running decently - some codes are okay, but no money-shifted engines. High miles are okay because I will be rebuilding the engine.

Here is what it has to have:

M52
2DR
Straight
Engine running well (or at least well enough)
5sp
Can't be RED.

That's it. For the life of me I can't find a 328is locally that is NOT an auto and it's driving me nuts!! If you know where I can find this car, or you have it, talk to me!

Black on black would be preferred, but it would just make it easier. The only color I CANNOT take is red.

TIA! :wave

your car fits the criteria pretty damn well. but dont even think about it, unless you have something better in mind.

How much I'm looking to spend depends on what condition the vehicle is in. I'd prefer to buy one with no extras, interior in not-so-good condition, etc. Here's the bottom line: this car is going to be rebuilt. Anything I don't have to pay for I don't want to. Here's a list of things I am planning to do to it:

Flossman widebody;
Turbo;
Dash and interior recovered; CarPC installed;
New front seats;
Rear seats recovered to match front;
carpet replaced with Wolten wool carpet (same as Porsche/Ferrari);
New driveline; axles, rear diff; suspension, etc.
etc etc etc

So, if there was a really clean 328is with nice paint, good interior, etc and someone wanted say $8k for it, it wouldn't be a good candidate. I wouldn't even mind dented front fenders, because the fenders would be removed anyways (Flossman kit has once-piece hood/nose panel/front fenders).

The car would be re-painted also, but since I would be selling my 328i and using this car for a while before I finished the exterior I would prefer the exterior is not trashed!

That's the gist of it.

I think Ben's car is to clean. Both of your cars would be perfect though. :D
