I have built a custom speaker box with 3 10" MTX Subs. The box is built out of 3/4 MDF and was built to specs of the speakers. The box is 34"L x 17"D x 7.5"H. The box was liquid nailed on all seams and 2" screws every 2" inches. It has gray carpet all around and is a sealed box not ported. The subs are powered by a Rockford Fasgate 500watt. This is pretty much the same box that one of the supporting vendor sells for e36's. This box prolly weighs 50-65lbs with amp and speakers. I am looking to get 175 for it plus shipping. The cross overs and power pack are not for sale as i will still need those for a different setup. This thing sounds great in the car. The kenwood amp os for the rest of the speakers and that is staying as well. I am just down sizing some. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE EMAIL ME OR PM ME. See pictures below.

I'm guessing that this will fit an E36 sedan? I know very little about car stereo's. What do I need to do to make this work my my Kenwood HU?

This was designed for a Sedan and should fit a coupe. All you will need it good set of RCA cables from the HU to the Amp and would hurt to get a compacitor as well so when the bass hits it wont draw power from your battery.

Could you please list the models of the subs and the amp? I know absolutely nothing about car audio, so what other parts would I need to wire this up to my stock e36 system? Also, would I need to remount my stock CD changer like you did?

I will get model number's tomorrow. To cold to go in the garrage to get those. For hooking up to stock unit i couldnt tell ya. I had RCA wires from aftermarket HU going to rockford amp then amp to subs. I have never owned a car were the stock HU stayed in. always took out for aftermarket parts. I doubt it would be to hard to do..i am assuming the stock amp will have a port to plug the subs into and you might not need the amp i have or the stock radio will have a sport to run RCA wires off of it.

i would suggest getting an aftermarket deck with this instead of trying to run it off the stock deck. there is an adapter i used to have (and still might, but i may have thrown it out under the pretense that it had no use this day in age) that converts stock wiring to rca (which you need for the amp). the downside to the aftermarket deck is that to my knowledge none of them hook up to the cd changer.

All you'd need is a simple line level converter (converts speaker level to RCA output so you can feed the amp), and you'd need to find the wire off the factory head unit that triggers 12v when turned on (when any of the radio, tape, or cd is on) to feed to the new amplifiers remote turn-on input. Line level converters can be had cheap, so no worries there.
